David started playing the piano at the age of 3, taught by his father. He completed the ABRSM Grade 8 examination at the age of 10 and has won various awards in Auckland. He was awarded the Swedlund Music Bursary Scholarship Award from the University in 2021. David was also awarded 1st place in the IRMTNZ Scholarship Competitions in the DD O’Connor Instrumental and Piano Scholarship category. He is passionate about piano and loves sharing his enthusiasm for music to students. He has great experience in piano teaching and has taught students of all levels. His students have achieved great results in grade and diploma exams as well as regional and national competitions.
