Felisa calos
Felisa has attained Trinity College London (TCL) Advanced Certificate on piano. Her competition placings include winning the Golden Jubilee Classical Award and NZ Composer Cup in the pianoforte section at the South Auckland Performing Arts Competition (SAPACS). She is a two-time winner of both the Howick School of Music (HSM) Performance Scholarship and Manukau Symphony Orchestra (MSO) Phil and Helen Greenbank Scholarship as well as the recipient of the Eleanor Spragg Scholarship for viola. Since 2020, she has been a violist in the MSO and was part of the Ihitai ‘Avei’a Star Navigator world premiere production in collaboration with New Zealand Opera in 2021. Furthermore, she features in an article published in the Australian New Zealand Viola Society Journal (ANZVS) in the June 2021 issue. In the last couple of years, she has been assisting at the HSM as accompanist and supporting junior students for violin and viola in orchestras. Over the years, she has played in the HSM Junior Strings, Symphony and Youth Orchestra. In addition to being invited to play in Ensemble East and Wairua Sinfonietta in 2021, she was a participant in the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) Summer School for 3 years and KBB Honours Orchestra. At Macleans College, she was part of the Symphony and Chamber Orchestra.
