Editorial Policy [October 2026]: Casino Review Methodology & Fact Checking

The same questions apply to every operator. A prominent position, a large bonus and an attractive website do not replace evidence.

The same questions apply to every operator. A prominent position, a large bonus and an attractive website do not replace evidence.

Start with the source, then write the claim

  1. Identify the product and jurisdiction. A casino offer cannot be substituted for a sportsbook offer. A New Zealand page must not silently use Australian or Canadian terms.
  2. Find the original terms. Prefer the operator’s offer page, bonus rules, cashier information and named regulator. Record the date and the actual domain.
  3. Separate secondary records. An offer-feed headline is a secondary record. It does not establish eligibility, a licence, or all the restrictions attached to a bonus.
  4. Explain gaps. Where a field is absent, show that it has not been verified. Do not turn a missing fee into “free” or an absent wagering term into “no wagering”.

Check the complete cost of a bonus

We look for the match percentage, maximum bonus, qualifying deposit, number and value of free spins, wagering base and multiplier, contribution rules, expiry, maximum bet and withdrawal restrictions. Those terms work together: a lower multiplier on deposit plus bonus can require more turnover than a higher multiplier on the bonus alone.

Only explicitly NZD-denominated amounts are displayed as NZ$. A bare dollar sign in an NZ-targeted feed is still insufficient currency evidence. An explicitly euro, US-dollar or Bitcoin offer is not converted into a supposed New Zealand offer. When currency wording is ambiguous, we withhold a local amount. Use the worked examples and calculator to understand the mechanics.

Measure the whole withdrawal journey

Identity checks, operator approval and payment settlement are different stages. We do not present a fast deposit or blockchain transfer as proof of a fast casino withdrawal. A useful payout claim identifies the method, minimum, maximum, period cap, verification status and whether the quoted interval uses business days.

This edition contains no first-hand payout tests. Published processing windows and source limitations are labelled as such. We do not calculate ratings from missing values.

Explain why an operator appears

Lineup order is publisher-supplied and may reflect commercial arrangements. It is not a safety ranking. We do not add artificial star ratings, aggregate review counts, “players redeemed today” counters or claims of independent scoring. The comparison table is designed for reading the differences, not treating number one as automatically suitable.

Our sportsbook material includes the requested historical lineup to explain the research record. Its presence is not a recommendation for NZ residents to use an offshore bookmaker.

Updates, disagreements and corrections

We record a source-check or import date only when that action occurs. A date change alone is not an editorial update. Conflicting current and older sources are disclosed rather than blended into one convenient set of facts.

Priority corrections concern eligibility, licensing, money, or misleading withdrawal claims. Before a commercial launch, those unresolved fields need current primary-source confirmation. Readers should review the operator’s own terms before making any decision; the website cannot guarantee acceptance or payment.
